Jagdish Shettar said goodbye to BJP
Shettar reached the Speaker's office in Shirsi today and spoke to reporters after submitting his resignation letter.
Jagdish Shettar came to Speaker Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri's office in Shirsi and tendered his resignation in the wake of losing the Hubli Dharwad Central constituency ticket.
Speaking to the reporters after submitting the resignation letter, Yeddyurappa said that if he had given me the position and authority, then how can he speak on my behalf for the ticket and say this now? Asked why KJP had gone earlier, he said that the reason for not giving tickets was the selfishness of some people.
I am healthy, no black spot, worked in BJP from small gram panchayat to all places. I am also old. I asked why the ticket was not given, but he did not say. There is that pain. The original BJP members are being thrown out.
I also feel the pain of leaving the original home. However, it is sure to contest from Hubli. However, Jagdish Shettar, who has resigned from the BJP, said that he will go to Hubli for consultation and take a decision.
